JEAN BRONSON was born in 1935 in Fulham, London and was evacuated, for the duration of the war, to Hertfordshire, where her love of the countryside began. Although fond of drawing and painting as a child, she didn't take up painting as a hobby until aged 39, when she commenced evening classes at a West London College while her children were growing up. After 5 years, working mainly on landscape subjects in acrylics and watercolours, she started exhibiting and selling her work in local art shows and a gallery in West London. She has also exhibited her work at The Society of Women Artists' Exhibition in Central Hall, Westminster. Now living in Hampshire, close to the New Forest, she continues to exhibit successfully in local art shows and a gallery in the New Forest.
