Small French haberdashery chest made Sajou. Made from birch plywood, stained exterior, natural interior, decorated with Fil au Chinoise lettering, Perfect for storing haberdashery or jewellery.  I use mine for storing business cards.

Sajou was founded in 1828 by Jacques-Simon Sajou, selling haberdashery for embroidery, tapestry, lace, crochet and weaving. Their products and pattern albums are highly sought after by collectors. In 2005 the Sajou brand was revived by keen collector Frederique Crestin-Billet, faithfully reproducing old products and designs.  This box is an example of this.
