An oak Art Deco / Modernist extendable dining table, by E Gomme, retailed by Heals, c1930s.  Seats 4-6 people. It has all the original features and style that dominated 1930s furniture design: bold geometric forms, quarter-sawn veneers, raised mouldings and classic fluted legs.  In overall very good condition, but with a small nick to the veneer of one of the extension pieces.
