A beautiful Art Nouveau ceramic wash stand set, c1900s. Made by Bishop & Stonier of Hanley, Staffordshire, and comprising the matching jug / ewer, large bowl, chamber pot, soap dish and flower vase. In good condition but with slight staining to the soap dish, jug with crack and a small chip to the large bowl - see images.
Dimensions: Jug: H36cm, Diameter 20cm. Large Bowl: H10cm, Diameter 41cm. Chamber Pot: H13cm, Diameter 28cm (incl handle), Soap Dish: H8cm, Diameter 15cm. Vase: H15cm, Diameter 10cm.

Made by Bishop and Stonier of Hanley, Staffordshire, c1900. The B&S mark to the base shows that they were made between 1891-1910. The pattern name is Lynton and it was part of their Oriental Ivory range. Bishops and Stonier traded from 1891-1939. These are some of their earlier pieces.
