Kitchen Windsor Chairs
A matching pair of bannister balloon-back Windsor chairs, English, c 1910. Known as “kitchen Windsors”, these chairs were typically found in working class homes of the North of England in the second half of the 18th century, and were very comfortable to sit in. Made of alder with an elm seat, shaped stay rail supported by turned spindles, central splat with decorative motif, turned and banded legs and stretchers. In good unrestored condition, structurally sound, woodwork in original condition.
