A traditional oak monks bench with under seat storage, c1910. Made of solid oak, rectangular seat seat back, bench seat with storage beneath, decorative arms and support for the turned down top,  carving to the front of the base.  In very good condition, hand stripped and re-finished.  Note there is a small section of the carving at the front missing - see images. 

These are very versatile pieces of furniture: hall seat with shoe storage,  hall table with storage, television table.
